Details:

This 2 – 3 page assignment requires you to find and evaluate one web site that is directly related to one of the weekly topics. You must use the enclosed template for this assignment. The web site must be freely accessible to the public. It should relate clearly to the course materials we have been covering. It should not be a Bible translation data base like BibleGateway or BibleHub. Please make sure your website is reliable. Please remember no Wiki, Ask.com, and so forth. This is written as a formal assignment. The assignment will need an introduction, body paragraphs as marked in the template, a conclusion, and in-text citations formatted properly. Assignment is submitted in a Word file.

Using the specific guidelines and questions found in this web site –http://help.library.ubc.ca/researching/evaluating-internet-sources – You will need to select on the left navigational bar on the website. You will see an area marked: Evaluating Information Sources. Scroll.

You will see both areas you need to consider a. Authority b. Accuracy for the assignment. Be sure to carefully and adequately address each of these required area with related questions by providing detailed information along with support and examples.

NOTE: You are evaluating the site in its entirety, not a single article on the site, though you may certainly refer to such articles in support of your discussion.

a. Authority

There are six direct questions that you will need to engage for authority. Read the meaning of them on the provided website and use the template to write your answers in detail.

b. Accuracy

There are six direct questions that you will need to engage for accuracy. Read the meaning of them on the provided website and use the template to write your answers in detail.

Please remember all assignments have an introduction with a clear thesis, body paragraphs, and a conclusion.

NOTE:

All conclusions/opinions must be supported and documented with relevant and appropriate evidence and/or examples from the site. You may also find it useful to reference secondary sources as benchmarks for the areas you are examining.
Be sure that the web site is directly related to the specific weekly content of this course.
Do not review a Bible database which simply provides Bible translations. Select a site that enables you to learn more about a topic we’ve examined in class.
